My Enemy's Cradle by Sara Young

I gave this one three stars only because the premise of the story was a good one. You don't hear much about this particular aspect of WWII. The author missed the opportunity to attach the reader to the characters. There were a lot of ways she could have really invested the reader and in a rote, mechanical way she walks through the story line methodically without ever creating that imperative emotional attachment. I appreciated the research behind it but as far as stories go... well, this one went right in the give-away box.
