The Clan of the Cave Bear (entire series) by Jean M. Auel

I know these books have become very cliche but I loved them. I read them when I was in high school and, yes- the sex scenes were a little much- but I loved the story. It appealed to my affinity for history and for a good 'woman against the odds' story. I never watched the movie becuase I loved the books so much I was afraid it would ruin it for me.
